After working in technology fields Rick transitioned to education. The first nine years of Rick's teaching career he taught Technology Courses at the secondary level. During this time he had the opportunity to create a student run help desk to support the e-learning program and 1 to 1 initiative of his district. For the last four years, Rick has been working with students and staff at Bloomingdale District 13 as Innovative Learning Coach. He helped reorganize the Southern Illinois chapter of IDEA (Formerly ICE-SI) where he served in the role of President. He has also served as co-chair of professional development for IDEA. Rick's educational philosophy centers around customizing learning for students and teachers to fit the needs of the learner. He is also a Google Certified Trainer and Microsoft Innovative Educator.
